Batelco Sponsors Bahrain Association of Banks Gathering

 

Batelco looks forward to further collaboration with the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) following its sponsorship of the Association’s recent lunch meeting held on March 25th at the Gulf Hotel’s Awal Ballroom. Key speaker at the event, Brett Maclagan from Deloitte, gave a presentation titled, Building a Better Bank; Customer Service – Increasing Revenue from the Outside-In, following the lunch.

Batelco Chief Executive Bahrain Gert Rieder, who attended the lunch, said that as a major provider of communications solutions for the business community including the banking sector, Batelco was very pleased to provide sponsorship for the event and looks forward to participating in future events with the Bahrain Association of Banks.

 “Our sponsorship of events for BAB will provide opportunities for us to demonstrate our portfolio of innovative products and services, designed with the business community in mind. Furthermore, we look forward to meeting many of our key customers and receiving their valuable feedback at upcoming gatherings.”

Mr. Rieder added that Batelco strives to be the operator that delivers communications innovation for the country and as a result put Bahrain at the forefront technologically within the GCC and entire region.

“This strategy supports the Kingdom’s 2030 vision by demonstrating that Batelco has the relevant infrastructure in place to encourage new investors to Bahrain thus supporting the country’s economic development,” he said.

BAB’s CEO Robert Ainey said “Quality of service is of paramount importance for banks and other financial institutions. Customers are amongst Banks’ most important stakeholders and deserve the highest level of service possible in Bahrain. Through management focus and increased automation in this key area, the financial industry can provide a positive banking experience to the citizens and residents of the Kingdom”.

Mr. Rieder continued to say that Batelco’s Enterprise Department is focused on providing seamless, end to end services for business customers including those in the banking and financial sector.
