The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) is preparing to celebrate the International Day of Banks on December 4.
BAB, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Bank of Bahrain, and the UN Development Office in Bahrain, has developed a programme to celebrate this significant international event that was launched last year as an initiative of Bahrain.
The celebration this year highlights the role fulfilled by the financial and banking institutions in Bahrain and the world to achieve the goals of sustainable development 2030. Bahrain has adopted the implementation of these goals in line with Bahrain Vision 2030 and has developed a comprehensive national programme supported by all ministries and official bodies in the kingdom.
Adnan Ahmed Yousif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAB, expressed the society’s pride at celebrating the occasion through the efforts of those concerned in the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the efforts put by the Ministry of Finance and National Economy and the Central Bank of Bahrain to develop the kingdom’s banking sector.
“BAB will work with various partners in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Bahrain and with its members from financial and banking institutions to organise the celebration, which includes many activities and events, besides highlighting the international standing of Bahrain’s financial and banking sector. The spotlight will be turned on the kingdom’s contribution to develop the banking system at the regional level,” he concluded.– Tradearabia News Service
