Bahrain Association of Banks’ (BAB) New Website to Further Promote the Sector

The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) launched its new website as part of its efforts to further promote the sector in the Kingdom as one of the leading and most progressive banking sectors in the region. The new website serves as a platform to further increase the interaction between members and representatives from the Kingdom’s various financial and banking institutions.

Head of Members Affairs, Ms. Afrah Ajaj, reaffirmed the association’s continuous efforts to make the new website comprehensive and complete, containing of valuable information about the Banking sector in Bahrain. This includes facts and figures about Islamic banking, insurance companies, information showcasing the various specialized training opportunities available in the Kingdom, legal and legislative material as well as various bits of information regarding the economic and investment climate in Bahrain.

Ms. Ajaj also reiterated the website’s importance as a communication platform between members and the association, in addition to providing them with updates regarding the association’s initiatives, events and programs.

Ms. Ajaj also mentioned that the association has ensured that the new website includes a list of all member institutions and banks working in Bahrain containing links to their respective official websites. She also mentioned the website’s new pages, including an about page introducing the association, goals and objectives, Members of the Board, Executive Team as well as other necessary information. Additionally, the website has a dedicated page, updated on a daily basis in partnership with Thomson Reuters, which provides the Bahrain Dinar Interbank Offered Rate.

Ms. Ajaj invited and encouraged any individual interested in knowing more about Bahrain’s banking and economic situation, as well as members of the association, to visit the new website through the URL www.banksbahrain.org. She welcomed any comments or suggestions to further enhance and improve the website as well as the association’s performance overall.

موقع إلكتروني جديد لجمعية مصارف البحرين يعزز من الترويج للقطاع المصرفي

أعلنت جمعية مصارف البحرين عن إطلاق موقعها الإكتروني بمحتوى جديد كلياً، وذلك سعياً من الجمعية لزيادة الترويج للقطاع المصرفي البحريني كواحد من أكثر القطاعات تطوراً في المنطقة، ولزيادة التفاعل مع الأعضاء من مختلف المؤسسات المالية والمصرفية في البحرين.

وقالت رئيسة قسم شؤون الأعضاء في الجمعية السيدة أفراح عجاج إن الجمعية حرصت على رفد الموقع بمعلومات شاملة عن القطاع المصرفي في البحرين، مدعمة بالإحصائيات والأرقام، وعن الصيرفة الإسلامية، وشركات التأمين، إضافة إلى عرض لعوامل القوة التي يتفرد بها مثل وجود كفاءات وطنية خبيرة ومدربة ومؤهلة، وبيئة تشريعات ورقابة مواتية، إضافة إلى معلومات عن الاقتصاد والاستثمار في مملكة البحرين بشكل عام.

وأشارت عجاج إلى أن الموقع يرمي أيضاً إلى تعزيز التواصل والتفاعل مع الأعضاء ليكون بذلك بوابتهم للتواصل الدائم مع الجمعية، وإطلاعهم على كل جديد متعلق بأنشطة وبرامج وفعاليات الجمعية، وبينت أن الجمعية حرصت على تزويد الموقع بقائمة بأعضاء الجمعية من البنوك والمؤسسات المالية العاملة في البحرين تحتوي على روابط تقود إلى الموقع الإلكتروني الرسمي الخاص بكل منهم.

وأشارت إلى أن الموقع بنسخته المحدثة يضم صفحات تعريفية عن الجمعية، وأهدافها، إضافة إلى أعضاء مجلس الإدارة، والجهاز التنفيذي، وغيرها من المعلومات المهمة، كما يحتوي الموقع أيضاً على صفحة مخصصة يتم تحديثها يومياً بالاشتراك مع تومسون رويترز توفر مؤشر ارشادي لحساب أسعار الفائدة بين البنوك.

ودعت عجاج جميع المهتمين بالشأن المصرفي والاقتصادي وأعضاء الجمعية إلى زيارة الموقع الإلكتروني على الرابط www.banksbahrain.org  والاستفادة من المعلومات الموجودة فيه، معربة عن ترحيب الجمعية بأية ملاحظات من شأنها المضي قدما في تطوير الموقع، وسائر عمل الجمعية.
